Meet the Principal

Maria Eck has served as the Principal of Westmoor School since the 2023-2024 school year.

Principal Eck came to District 28 from Fairfax County Schools in Virginia, where she worked as an elementary school principal. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in Miami-Dade County Public Schools in Florida, before moving to Virginia in 2005. 

She has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, FL, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Florida International University.
